The Blog:

A collection of recipes and tips I have managed to scrape up between being gifted grocery bags of cards, many many cookbooks, and my own web-addiction. There are also a few that I made up/altered to my own tastes. I very rarely post anything that my husband and I haven’t already tried.

I have been married for 7+ years now; and love my Airman very dearly.  And we are *finally* expecting our first child in April 2010!

We have a black border collie – black Labrador retriever mix dog that getting to be an old man, silver muzzle and all… He is a practical joker, who is hilarious, as he can’t decide to herd or to retrieve We also adopted Liberty at the local animal shelter in summer 2008. She is a Rottweiler/German Shepard mix with Cream and chocolate colored with Rottie markings. Her facial expressions are priceless, and I have never seen a more expressive dog. She had a rough start at life; but has blossomed into a wonderful family member since we brought her home.

I love country music, and listen to it constantly. I love being able to sing along to the songs, although I am sure some people within hearing-range wish I wouldn’t. One of the reasons I adore Country music is line dancing. In Florida a friend introduced me to it; and I loved it. We were going honkytonking every Friday night; and I miss my dancing partner alot.

I love to play basketball, volleyball, and Monopoly Risk 2210AD is my favorite board game ever! I am very into reading fantasy, but seem to find less and less time to do so, due to my online presence with sim games and website development. My favorite author is Piers Anthony and his Xanth series, I have read them since I was in the fifth grade. I also adore the Valdemar series from Mercedes Lackey.

Not as into die hard video games as my husband is (Madden NFL anyone?), but I like almost any Mario game, and looooooove the Mario Party set. I have played Nintendo since the original Nintendo came out in the 80’s! I love to watch movies, and I am equally torn between funny chick-flicks, and shoot-em-up action movies. My faves would have to be *10 Things I Hate About You*, and *Bad Boys II*

A few years back; for Christmas I built a desktop completely from scratch for my husband (and me) and that was a lot of fun. I really enjoy making things with my hands, and I am fairly decent with the technical aspects of computers.

I finally found my dream career (besides being a stay-at-home Mom) and that is the child care industry, either in a large program environment, a classroom, or even just care out of our home. I am currently pursuing a degree/certification that is paid for by Military Spouse Assistance Programs.
